About GYC

The Global Youth Consortium to END TB (GYC2EndTB) is an independent, youth-led TB initiative. We are not a charity.

Our purpose is to bring young people and communities together to raise awareness about tuberculosis, challenge stigma, share experiences and advocate for better access to prevention and care.

We connect community perspectives, research and advocacy because medical advances do not remove the social and economic barriers people face. Understanding care means paying attention both to treatment and to the conditions in which people are asked to seek it.

This site introduces our perspective and the questions we want to examine. Proposed topics are not established programmes.

THE GAP WE CARE ABOUT

A medical breakthrough is only the beginning.

Effective prevention and treatment matter. So do the conditions that allow someone to begin care, continue it and be heard along the way.

Income, transport and food shape what a clinic visit costs in everyday life. Stigma can make seeking care difficult, while trust affects whether information feels credible and services feel safe to approach.

A treatment that exists is not necessarily a treatment someone can reach.
